Job Summary
The Area Lead is tasked with daily shift leadership, mentoring, and training. This role involves providing the Operations Supervisor with updates on team progress, addressing various product and freight issues, and communicating any concerns regarding products or freight to the Operations Supervisor. Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Train associates on all departmental and company safety protocols.
- Oversee daily shift operations with guidance from the Operations Supervisor.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to associates. B1 Amazon Lead
- Allocate tasks to associates and follow up on KPIs in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor.
- Monitor and mentor associates on productivity, quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Responsible for achieving shift goals and implementing related action plans.
- Develop and execute training plans for associates. B1 Amazon Lead
- Conduct daily audits of workstations for 5S compliance.
- Serve as a substitute for the Supervisor in operational matters as needed.
- Collaborate consistently with the Supervisor on product flow or shipment issues.
- Maintain high standards of customer service for both internal and external customers.
Education and Requirements
- Ability to train and develop others is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- At least one year of relevant experience and/or training, demonstrating proficiency in developing associates and teams.
- Strong analytical skills. B1 Amazon Lead
- Basic computer skills are required, along with experience and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems; PKMS experience is preferred.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, push, pull, or crawl. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. B1 Amazon Lead
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Work in an environment with varying noise levels, which can be loud.
- Work in conditions subject to fluctuating temperatures and weather.
- Continuously climb and descend stairs.
